Tarot, Angel or Oracle

Tarot cards are considered an art form, but it is hard to answer yes and no questions sometimes.

Since the questions can be complex, sometimes a yes or no will not work out. There are different possibilities that you can use.

Doing a Yes or No Tarot Reading

You need to understand that your reader will be the one that has a reaction to the tarot card. If a question is there for the tarot reader, the answer will show in the images and will reach them on a personal level.

Here are some things to remember:

Who is Asking the Question?

  • What does the person feel?
  • What is their worldview?
  • How do they look at life?
  • What are their values?

Use a few cards to start with and get the feel of what is going on. This can make it easier to read the message the card is saying.

What Are They Asking?

Think of the question that they give you and see what they really want to know:

  • Will they move in with their partner?
  • Will they get the job they applied for?
  • Will they find the right house?
  • Are they going to get kicked out?

If you have a yes to the move but it makes the question different, look at the cards again.

Cards that Mean Yes

There are some cards that you can use to get happy answers. These are the Four of Wands, the Ace of Wands, the Wheel of Fortune, the Sun, The six of Cups and the World.

Other cards such as the Chariot are conditional and will tell you what will happen if you concentrate and put in effort.

The Star card is one that you wish on and will give you the highest good.

Cards that are part of the Major Arcana and can decide a yes or no question and get the answer needed. Minor Arcana cards can change over time.

Cards that Mean No

Some cards are no cards such as the Three of Swords, the Five of Pentacles, the Two of Swords, and the Eight of Cups. All of these things can show heartache and missed opportunities.

Some scary cards like the Tower or Death card can change how something moves forward. A reversed card will mean a no or a delay. It can also mean something will happen slow or there will challenges along the way.

Yes or No Spread

The question such as: Will I get married?

Card one: This is the energy of the relationship.

Card two: How your partner feels about who you are.

Card three: Should the relationship go that far?

Card four: Will you get married.

This is a spread with a lot of yes cards. The sun will be warm, the Ace of Cups means love and the Ten of Pentacles means something lasts a long time, but the Ten of Cups is a marriage indicator if it is reversed.

This means there is a lot of positives and even if it isn’t reversed it can just take longer.

If the first three cards would have been the Three of Swords, the Nine of Swords, the Devil, and the reversal it would have meant to not get married or think about it.

Cards that Mean Maybe

Some cards like the Seven of Cups can mean maybe along with the Eight of Swords, the Two of Wands, and other confusing cards.

Timing

Some cards mean things will be delayed. The Four of Swords can mean things need to be timed out. This can mean a separation of a relationship.

The Hanged Man can mean to let the universe decide.

The four Tarot suits such as the Wands, Swords, Cups and Pentacles are part of astrology and work with the different seasons.

A timing card can indicate that something will happen when the Sun is in the Taurus, Capricorn, or Virgo. This can be a different season.

A card that is part of the Suit of Cups can mean a period of the Pisces, Cancer or Scorpio. The sword can mean Libra, Aquarius or Gemini and the wands can mean Aries, Sagittarius, or Leo.

Read the Minor Arcana cards in context with each other to know what they mean.

Always count the cards to see if something is going to happen such as a Page or a Queen. This can be power or influence.

Putting the cards together for a reading can make a yes or no answer work.
